PM Modi Dedicates 100% Electrified Rail Network in Chhattisgarh.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 100% electrification of Chhattisgarh’s Broad Gauge (BG) rail network, marking a major step toward India’s Net Zero Carbon Emission goal by 2030. During the event in Bilaspur, he also laid the foundation for seven railway projects (108 km) and dedicated three completed projects (111 km) worth ₹12,690 crore.

He flagged off the MEMU train service in the Abhanpur-Raipur section and highlighted ongoing railway projects worth ₹2.4 lakh crore in the state. The initiative will reduce transportation costs, lower crude oil dependence, and enhance train speeds. Chhattisgarh, India’s top freight-loading state, plays a vital role in railway revenue generation.
